Bridging the Gap Between Claims Processing and Encounter Reporting

Event Date: 8/15/2018

Event Overview

Babel Vendor Spotlight: 11AM CT - NOON CT

Session description:

Claims Processing has been around for years. And while the process has evolved, the endgame has remained the same—pay the right amount to the right provider for the right services delivered to the right members in a timely manner. Enter the new kid on the block: Encounter Data Processing. Some have been welcoming and some have not, but regardless it is still a mystery to many. To complicate its arrival, Encounter Reporting is changing the endgame for Claims Processing. It is no longer enough to do all the “right” things; now we must also collect the right data in the right format according to the right government agency guidelines.

That’s a lot of right. So where are Health Plans going wrong?

This webinar will focus on the following topics to help Plans bridge the gap:
- Why and how plans should update their endgame to include Encounter Reporting
- Cross-training: What Claims Processors and Encounter reporters can learn from each other
- Identifying and addressing the Top 3 processing mistakes that contribute to lost risk revenue
- Incorporating technology and Encounter Workflow for remediation

Attendees will learn:
  • Why and how plans should update their endgame to include Encounter Reporting
  • Cross-training: What Claims Processors and Encounter reporters can learn from each other
  • Identifying and addressing the Top 3 processing mistakes that contribute to lost risk revenue
  • Incorporating technology and Encounter Workflow for remediation

This event is hosted on our Readytalk platform.
