CareConnect Insurance Company, Inc. became a Health Plan Alliance member following the 2016 Fall Leadership Value Visit and Board of Director’s Meeting. 

CareConnect was created by Northwell Health (formerly North Shore-LIJ Health System) to make it easy for people to get and stay healthy. CareConnect’s motto is “healthier insurance,” offering access to the best doctors and hospitals in the New York area for up to 20 percent less than publicly available rates for similar plans. CareConnect was founded in 2013 and offers individual, small group and large group plans covering more than 120,000 lives.

CareConnect’s network has grown to more than 20,000 providers at hospitals and physician practices throughout downstate New York. CareConnect members have access to North Shore-LIJ Health System, including Lenox Hill Hospital, the Lenox Hill HealthPlex and Staten Island University Hospital (North and South) as well as Maimonides Medical Center, Montefiore Health System, CareMount Medical, Northern Westchester Hospital, Phelps Memorial Hospital, Wyckoff Heights Medical Center, and the eleven hospitals of the NYC Health + Hospitals. 

CareConnect’s provider network also includes Allied Pediatrics, CityMD/Premier Care and all affiliated urgent care centers, ProHEALTH Associates and UPG. MinuteClinic is also part of CareConnect’s network, providing access to more than 900 walk-in medical clinics in select CVS/pharmacy stores across the country.
